Gift Cards and E-Cards

VALIDITY + EXPIRY
DecoRug Gift Cards are valid for 3 years from date of purchase, irrespective of when the recipient may receive it; will be activated within 24hrs of purchase; can be redeemed against all products except other DecoRug Gift Cards, are non-transferable and may not be returned or redeemed for cash. Taxes (such as GST) and/or shipping is still applicable on any products purchased with a DecoRug Gift Card. All DecoRug Gift Cards are in Australian dollars (AUD). Once your DecoRug Gift Card has expired or reached a zero balance, it is no longer valid and cannot be reloaded, reactivated or refunded.

 

 

If the DecoRug Voucher/Gift Card is used on a purchase of a lower value than the amount remaining on a DecoRug Voucher/Gift Card, the remaining amount will resume on the same DecoRug Voucher/Gift Card. This can then be used on future purchases and will be valid to the same DecoRug Voucher/Gift Card expiry period. If a purchase exceeds the value of the DecoRug Voucher/Gift Card, the remaining amount must be paid for by another payment method, such as cash card, Afterpay or PayPal.

 ONLINE VOUCHER (E-GIFT CARDS)

If you buy a DecoRug E-Gift Card:

a) the Gift Card will be emailed to the recipient once the full order has been processed and payment has been made (unless an alternate date is selected). An invoice with proof of purchase will be sent to the purchaser as confirmation;

b) the Gift Card will include a unique code that can be used online. The unique code needs to be entered at the point of reviewing items in an order (in the checkout process);

c) you are responsible for ensuring you have entered the correct full name and email address for the recipient. DecoRug is not liable for delivery of a DecoRug Gift Card to an incorrect or non-existent email address; and

d) promotion codes cannot be applied to the purchase of a DecoRug Gift Card.

 

Products that are purchased wholly or partially with a DecoRug Voucher/Gift Card may be exchanged or returned in accordance with our Returns Policy, any amounts paid by other tender will be refunded either for DecoRug Credit (if the purchase was a Sale item) or in the same tender to the same account in which the purchase was made.

 

You cannot exchange your DecoRug Voucher/Gift Card for a different denomination of Voucher or for another tender, cash or discount. DecoRug Gift Cards cannot be returned for change of mind.

 

DecoRug is not responsible if a DecoRug Voucher is lost, stolen, destroyed or used without permission. DecoRug Vouchers should be treated like cash and will not be replaced or refunded if they are lost or stolen.

 

DecoRug Vouchers cannot be cancelled once they are issued, except if used, expired or otherwise cancelled by DecoRug. DecoRug reserves the right to cancel or alter the balance of a DecoRug Voucher if such action is deemed necessary by DecoRug, without notice to you, including but not limited to, where a Voucher is defrauded, stolen, defaced, mutilated, altered, issued in error or otherwise tampered in any way. Where DecoRug has cancelled or voided your DecoRug Voucher due to DecoRug's fault or negligence, DecoRug will provide you with a refund or replacement DecoRug Voucher.

We reserve the right to cancel or block your DecoRug Voucher if you report it stolen or if we consider that you are using it in a manner that is inconsistent with these Terms.

DecoRug Vouchers/Gift Cards are not legal tender, account/credit/debit cards or securities and no transaction statements will be sent to you regarding your DecoRug Voucher/Gift Card.

 

 LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

You agree that you are responsible for the use and protection of your DecoRug Voucher/Gift Card and that you are liable for all transactions on your DecoRug Voucher/Gift Card, except to the extent to which there has been fraud or negligence by DecoRug.

 

You have certain rights under the Australian Consumer Law which cannot be excluded and are not affected by these Terms. To the maximum extent permitted by law, DecoRug excludes all other liability whatsoever to the you are arising out of or in any way connected with these Terms, including any liability for consequential or indirect losses of any kind, loss of profit, revenue or goodwill, howsoever arising and whether caused by breach of statute, breach of contract, negligence or other tort. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our maximum aggregate liability to you is limited to the purchase price of your DecoRug Voucher/Gift Card.

 

A provision of these Voucher/Gift Card Terms or a right created under it, may not be waived or varied except in writing with the consent of each of the parties.

 

 SEVERABILITY

Any provision of these Voucher/Gift Card Terms that is prohibited or unenforceable in any jurisdiction is ineffective as to that jurisdiction to the extent of the prohibition or unenforceability. That does not invalidate the remaining provisions of these Voucher/Gift Card Terms nor affect the validity or enforceability of that provision in any other jurisdiction.

 

These Voucher/Gift Card Terms are governed by the law of New South Wales. Each party submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts exercising jurisdiction there in connection with matters concerning these Voucher/Gift Card Terms.

 

These Voucher/Gift Card Terms may be amended from time to time by and the latest version will be published on the DecoRug website. It is your responsibility to keep up to date with these Terms. DecoRug reserves the right to amend these Voucher/Gift Card Terms at any time for any reason by two (2) weeks’ notice to you via the DecoRug website. If you do not agree with such amendments, you may contact us, and we will cancel and refund your Voucher/Gift Card or provide an alternate resolution. Any amendments to these Terms will apply to all Vouchers/Gift Cards purchased or redeemed after the amendment date.
