Entry is open to every person who purchases the October issue of Real Living magazine and / or makes a product purchase at any DecoRug retail store during the promotion period.

The competition promoter is DecoRug Holdings Pty Ltd and the competition prize is being provided for and funded exclusively by DecoRug. The completion is being promoted in the October issue of Real Living Magazine in the form of paid advertising and in no way is Real Living magazine involved with or contributing in any way to the competition or the prizes on offer.

To enter the ‘Win A Room Makeover’ competition, entrants are required to;

  • complete the entry form either on-line at or in person at a DecoRug retail store,
  • outline why they’d like to win (in 25 words or less) and
  • provide at least one photograph of their room for which they would like to win the makeover.


All entrants are required to provide full contact details including name, residential address, telephone number and email address.

 2.       Any information on ‘how to enter’ forms part of the entry conditions. Participation in this promotion constitutes acceptance of the conditions of entry.

 3.       Entry is open to all Australian residents over the age of 18 years, except persons associated with the promoter including immediate family and relatives as well as employees, agents, contractors and business associates (and their immediate family) of the Promoter and/or any agencies associated with the promotion.

 4.       Only one entry per person is permitted.

 5.       The promotion commences on the 12th September 2016 and closes at 5pm on 30th November 2016.

 6.       The competition prize to be awarded is: 1 x Room Makeover of a selected room in your home to a maximum retail value of $5000.  Included in the prize will be;

  • All required works, furnishings and furniture up to the maximum stated prize value.
  • Personalised styling consultation and advice from Stylist and DecoRug Brand Ambassador, Carlene Duffy.

7.       The Room Makeover will take place at mutually suitable time between the competition winner and the promoter and prior to 30th June 2017.

 8.       Only one prize will be awarded nationally. The total prize value is equal to AUD$5,000 at retail value and will be applied towards goods and services required to facilitate the ‘Room Makeover’.

 9.       The prize and/or value is not redeemable for cash or credit. The winner may choose to acquire alternative or additional products or services than those provided or selected as part of the prize pool however, any value or amount in excess of the stated maximum prize value will be at the competition winners’ expense. Product and service procurement will be the promoter’s responsibility and will be under the sole authority, discretion and approval of the promoter.

 10.   Entrants/competition winner must be over 18 years old. The prize must be taken by 30th June 2017.

 11.   To be eligible, Real Living Magazine readers and/or DecoRug customers must enter the competition in-store or online during the promotional period.

 12.   All entries will be printed and the winner will be selected by DecoRug in collaboration with Michael & Carlene Duffy and at the time and place specified in Item 13 herein. The Promoter’s decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

 13.   The decision on the winning entry will be made by 5pm on Wednesday 14th December 2016 at DecoRug Head Office, 33-35 Pavesi street Guildford NSW.

 14.   Competition Entrants will not be invited to attend the selection of the winner.

 15.   The winner will be notified by telephone and email and the competition prize winner will be announced on the DecoRug website from 15th December 2016 as well as on the DecoRug Facebook and Instagram.

 16.   The prize is not otherwise redeemable or transferable and the competition prize winner cannot nominate a person other than themselves to take the prize.

 17.   The promoter, its agents and associates shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is or may be suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the competition or prize except for liability which cannot be excluded by law.

 18.   All entries become and remain the property of the promoter and the promoter is authorised to use the information provided for marketing purposes at its sole discretion.
